New Delhi: According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), cardiovascular disease has become the number one silent killer globally. Lack of exercise, overeating, unhealthy diet, high blood pressure and cholesterol are some of the factors that increase the risk of developing heart diseases. But it can be prevented by avoiding tobacco use, unhealthy diet and obesity.

So, it is very important to know some of the common symptoms of heart diseases so that you can get early treatment.

Here are some common symptoms of heart disease which we all should be aware of:

Fatigue

It is one of the common symptoms of heart failure and heart attack.

Chest pain

Chest pain is a common symptom of heart attack and coronary artery disease. And in some cases, it is also associated with inflammation of the tissue covering the heart.

Swelling of feet

Swelling feet indicates that the person might be experiencing congestive heart failure where the blood pumping capacity of the heart reduces.

Shortness of breath

Shortness of breath, which may occur with or without chest discomfort is a major sign of heart attack. It is commonly experienced by patients with heart failure.

Cold sweat

If you are sweating profusely without any physical activity or strain then it is a sign that you might be going through a heart attack.
