Daniel Radcliffe to play journalist

London: `Harry Potter` star Daniel Radcliffe will essay the role of Jake Adelstein, a journalist, in an upcoming movie called `Tokyo Vice`.

The 24-year-old has signed in to portray real life journalist Adelstein in the film, which is adapted from the writer`s memoir, Tokyo Vice: An American Reporter on the Police Beat in Japan, reports contactmusic.com. The project chronicles the American`s experiences as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Press Club, during which he exposes a corruption scandal and help end Yakuza gang boss Goto Tadamasa`s reign of terror. `Tokyo Vice` will go on floors next summer.
