Kunal Khemu favours critical acclaim over commercial success

Mumbai, Feb 20: Actor Kunal Khemu, who has three films lined up for release this year, favours critical acclaim over commercial success."Critical acclaim is more important. But professionally, success at the box office cannot be overlooked," Kunal told reporters.

"A movie does not belong to me alone. We have to think from the cast and crew`s perspective," he said. The 25-year-old actor, who made a debut in 2005 with `Kalyug`, has had three releases so far. His films `Dhoondte Reh Jaoge`, `Jai Veeru` and `99` are slated for release. Talking on the eve of `Dhoondte...` release, Kunal, looking dapper and sporting a short crop, said the movie is a laugh riot with some excellent on-screen chemistry between him, Soha Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Paresh Rawal. "It is a mad film. I play the character of middle-class youth who can go to any length to marry Soha," he added. The movie is due for release on March 9. Bureau Report
