Madonna`s adoption plan will come through, says lawyer
Madonna`s African lawyer says the pop diva`s latest adoption plans will go through as planned.
New York, April 02: Madonna`s African lawyer says the pop diva`s latest adoption plans will go through as planned.
Attorney Alan Chinula insists he`s anything but worried as Friday`s hearing deadline approaches. He is confident that she will get a green light form the officials to adopt the Malawi girl.
"I don`t see any law in Malawi that can stop this adoption," he said.
The pop superstar has spent the past week in Malawi, revisiting adopted son David`s village and making plans to adopt a four-year-old girl, called Mercy James, reports Imdb.com.
Chinula claims the orphaned girl`s mother died shortly after childbirth and her uncle has already signed the relevant paperwork.
"He has already signed off the consent forms, and Madonna counter-signed them. She just has to wait to hear from me when I get the result," Chinula told UsMagazine.com.
Madonna is not required to attend Friday`s hearing.
Many human rights groups are opposing Madonna`s latest adoption plans, insisting the little girl should be left in Malawi.
