London, March 19: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and pop star Madonna were recently spotted wearing matching red Jewish Kabbalah bracelets and dinning together in New York to celebrate the release of a film marking designer Valentino`s retirement after 45 years of being in the fashion business.

Paltrow and Madonna, who have been friends for almost 10 years now, sat next to one another on the leather seats and chatted animatedly throughout the party that followed the screening of the documentary "Valentino: The Last Emperor" Tuesday night, reports dailymail.co.uk. The red Kabbalah bracelets that they wore is meant to protect them from negative forces. Although Paltrow has never publicly spoken about following the faith, Madonna is understood to have introduced the actress to the branch of Jewish mysticism. Paltrow also shares Madonna`s love of yoga and they even have the same fitness trainer. While the 50-year-old Madonna is dating 22-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz, 36-year-old Paltrow is married to rock band Coldplay`s lead singer Chris Martin. IANS
