Los Angeles: MIA is concerned that her son Ikhyd will live in a generation where violence and the end of the world will be an obsession.
The singer, whose new video for the single `Born Free` was banned on YouTube for its brutal content and featured a child redhead getting shot in the head at close range, does not want her son to encounter a violent world.
The `Paper Planes` hitmaker, who gave birth to Ikhyd last year, feels that her child will encounter a very violent world when he grows up, Ace Showbiz reported.
"There`s a whole generation of American kids seeing violence on their computer screens and then getting shipped off to Afghanistan. They feel like they know the violence when they don`t. Not having a proper understanding of violence, especially what it`s like on the receiving end of it, just makes you interpret it wrong and makes inflicting violence
easier."
"When I put on the History Channel or Discovery Channel in America there`s this insane fascination with the end of the world... Everyone`s so obsessed with Armageddon, the dates they`re talking about is Ikhyd`s generation," she told Complex magazine.
