Terrorists attack police convoy in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, 1 cop injured

Jammu: A group of heavily armed terrorists attacked a police party in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district in which one policeman was seriously injured.

According to ANI, the policeman was injured after terrorists attacked a police party near bus stand in Anantnag.

The J&K Police also issued a clarification stating that the policeman who was shot at by terrorists is alive and admitted to hospital in critical condition.

The fresh attack comes days after a police party was attacked by militants in the Thajiwar area of Achabal, Anantnag in which six policemen, including Station House Officer Feroz Ahmad Dar, were killed.

Terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba had claimed responsibility for the previous attack.
