Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh BJP tribal leader Sampatiya Uikey has been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha, a media report said on Monday.

Uikey had contested the 2013 Assembly Elections and lost. She is currently the district panchayat president in Mandla, the scroll.in reported.

The seat became vacant when the then Union Minister Anil Madhav Dave died on May 18, 2017.

Madhya Pradesh has 11 Rajya Sabha seats. Of which, eight are with the BJP and three with the Congress.
