Chembur: A gas leak was reported from a CNG pump in Mumbai’s Chembur area on Monday.

The incident led to the snapping of power supply in the area and blockage of adjoining roads to avoid any mishap, said ABP news.

The Internet services were also cut in the area.

As per Dainik Bhaskar, the gas leak caused chaos in the area. The administration has urged people to move to ventilated areas in case they feel suffocated.

The situation is under control now, reported news agency ANI.

In May 2016, more than 100 students were admitted to hospitals after a gas leak near a school in south Delhi.

They complained of eye and neck irritation besides dizziness after the gas leaked at a nearby container depot in Tughlakabad.
