Patna: Launching an offensive against rival camp, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Friday night recommended to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi dismissal of two of his ministers considered close to former chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Highly-placed sources said Manjhi sent recommendation to dismiss two ministers -- Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lallan and PK Shahi -- to the Governor, saying their activities were not in the best interest of the government.

Lallan and Shahi are close confidante of Nitish Kumar and Manjhi camp believes they have been on the forefront to oust Manjhi from the chief minister's post.

Meanwhile, according to sources, JD(U) President Sharad Yadav has prepared a letter for Governor requesting him not to entertain plea of Manjhi who is in "minority" now.

The letter is ready and could be faxed to the Governor anytime, they said.

Lallan is the minister for Road Construction department and Shahi is Forest Minister of the state.

These two ministers had recently protested transfer of IAS officers by Manjhi in alleged violation of laid down rules of transfer.
