CISF restores bag containing Rs 45k, dollars of Nigerian man

CISF security personnel have restored a Nigerian citizen's bag containing over Rs 45,000 in cash and US dollars after he forgot it at a Delhi metro station here.

New Delhi: CISF security personnel have restored a Nigerian citizen's bag containing over Rs 45,000 in cash and US dollars after he forgot it at a Delhi metro station here.

The incident had occurred yesterday evening at Karol Bagh station when a Nigerian national, identified as G Chukuwuma, forgot to collect his bag after getting it scanned at the X-ray baggage machine.

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) spokesperson said the bag was recovered by on-duy security staff of the force present in the station and after anti-sabotage checks it was found that it contained a cash of Rs 45,916, USD 200 and a Nigerian passport.

Later Chukuwuma came back to the station to claim his bag and it was restored to him after due verification, the spokesperson said.
