SHOCKING! Hyderabad woman arrested for carrying 2 Kg gold in her underwear at Delhi airport
The woman identified as Farhat Unnisa was arrested by the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officers on Monday.
New Delhi: A woman passenger travelling from Dubai to New Delhi was arrested by officials after they detected gold bars worth Rs. 64,38,960 from her possession.
The woman identified as Farhat Unnisa was arrested by the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) officers on Monday.
In a statement, the AIU said that on the intervening night of August 21 and August 22, officers, on suspicion, intercepted a lady passenger, a resident of Hyderabad, after she disembarked from a Jet Airways flight from Dubai.
The AIU statement further said that on examination of Unnisa, they recovered gold bars weighing two kilograms and 160 grams.
The AIU informed that the lady had concealed the gold bars inside the inner garments worn by the passenger.
The gold bars were promptly seized and the passenger was arrested.
She has been booked and further investigations are underway.
