After flight operations at Delhi Airport (IGIA) experienced major disruptions due to a technical fault in the ATC system, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said it had successfully addressed the technical issue in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS).

Delhi Airport Live Updates: Due to a technical glitch in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were disrupted on Friday morning. Following this, flight operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport were also affected due to the technical issue.  

IndiGo will also resume operations from Terminal 2 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport starting October 26 after a temporary shift earlier this year due to maintenance work.

According to ANI's Delhi airport sources, the flight crew reported fumes in the cabin and requested an emergency landing.  

According to the advisory, Air Traffic Control (ATC) authorities will implement air traffic flow management measures for incoming flights from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM IST today, in order to maintain safe operations. 

IndiGo has shifted all Delhi Terminal 2 flights to Terminals 1 and 3 from April 15, 2025, due to T2’s maintenance closure. Passengers are advised to check flight details.

Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the airport with many passengers standing at some places inside the airport and waiting for updates on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
