Digvijay Singh backs Sharad Pawar, hits out at Narendra Modi

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh hit out at Narendra Modi, a day after the BJP`s prime ministerial candidate slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the Lok Sabha ticket to Adarsh scam-tainted Ashok Chavan.

New Delhi: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday hit out at Narendra Modi, a day after the BJP`s prime ministerial candidate slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the Lok Sabha ticket to Adarsh scam-tainted Ashok Chavan. On microblogging website Twitter, Digvijay Singh tweeted that there is no court case against Chavan, whereas Karnataka`s former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa is facing corruption charges in Court.

Chavan has no case in Court, Yedurappa facing corruption charges in Court yet Modi doesn't talk about Yedurappa. Who is shameless ?

Singh also took a potshot at the impression of `Modi wave` created by the BJP across the country and backed Sharad Pawar.

In a scathing attack, the NCP chief had on Sunday said Narendra Modi needs to be "treated in a mental hospital for talking rubbish". "Modi must have deranged as he talks rubbish things and he is needed to be treated in a mental hospital," the Union Agriculture Minister had said at a rally at Ghanswangi, while campaigning for NCP candidate Vijay Bhamble.
