Varanasi will reject Narendra Modi, I`m the son of the soil: Ajay Rai

Varanasi: Congress party`s Lok Sabha candidate from Varanasi on Monday dismissed that there is no Narendra Modi wave in the country an expressed confidence that he easily will win the crucial seat since he has enormous support of the locals. Speaking to reporters, Rai said, “Varanasi will reject BJP`s Narendra Modi, I`m the son of the soil.” Rai also categorically dismisses the existence of a Modi wave in the temple town of Varanasi. Rai, a Varanasi local and member of Legislative Assembly from the nearby Pindra Assembly constituency, had earlier said that Modi`s campaign revolving around his personality has not been successful and his team has now started to focus on local issues. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday held a massive roadshow in support of Rai, which was quite successful. Scores of people thronged the streets and this roadshow was probably one of the first of its magnitude for Rahul Gandhi.
