Hisar: Rail traffic on Hisar-Bhiwani section of the Western-Northern Railway and Hisar-Ludhiana section was disrupted for several hours on Friday following derailment of three bogies of the Haryana Express train.

The bogies were running between Bathinda and Delhi via Hisar, Bhiwani and Rohtak.

Station Superintendent of Hisar Railway station Nihal Singh said some of the trains were diverted after the derailment which occurred around 6 am.

However, noone was hurt in the incident.

The derailment occurred due to some technical fault in the bogies. Several trains running between Hisar-Delhi, Hisar-Rewari and Hisar-Ludhiana were affected due to this, he said.

After about three hours, the Haryana Express left for Delhi.

Amritsar-Sadulpur Express train stopped on Raipur railway station while other passenger trains were also stopped at various railway stations, he said.

Several railway officials from Bikaner and Bathinda reached the accident site to take stock of the situation.

A high level committee has been constituted to probe the reasons behind the incident.
