Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal row: Punjab, Haryana delegations to meet President Mukherjee
The all-party delegation from Haryana will be led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while Punjab`s Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal shall be leading the delegation.

New Delhi: Delegations from both Haryana and Punjab will meet President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday and urge him to intervene in the ongoing Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal project dispute between the two states.
The all-party delegation from Haryana will be led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, while Punjab`s Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal shall be leading the delegation comprising of his ministers and MPs of alliance partners from the state.
Talking to the media in New Delhi, Khattar said an all-party meeting was held under his chairmanship at Chandigarh earlier this week and it was unanimously decided to call on the President on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link issue.
Punjab has de-notified the land acquired for the Sutlej-Yamuna Link and transferred most of it to farmers.
The SAD leadership is miffed at not getting an appointment from President Mukherjee even as the Punjab Congress has already met the President on the issue.
