Myleene Klass’ M&S deal slashed by a quarter due to recession

London, May 02: Even Myleene Klass could not escape the wrath of ongoing economic crisis, for the actress’ 1-million pound Marks & Spencer deal has been slashed by a quarter, it has emerged.

Klass’ pay was cut to 750,000 pounds as the firm struggles to control costs. “She is absolutely fine with the pay cut because — like the rest of the country — she accepts that everyone gets less money,” a news daily quoted a source as saying. “It is a great endorsement that she has signed up. The days of million pound deals are going out of the window,” the source added. Other M&S adverts stars also fell victim of cost cutting include Erin O’Connor, Elizabeth Jagger, Noemie Lenoir and Lily Cole. An M&S spokeswoman said last night: “We have an ongoing relationship with them but they have not currently been signed up for anything.” ANI
