A 17-year-old boy died after he came in contact with high tension wires above the railway track along Mathura Road in southeast Delhi's Okhla area today.

New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy died after he came in contact with high tension wires above the railway track along Mathura Road in southeast Delhi's Okhla area today.

The boy, identified as Anwar Alam had allegedly climbed the roof of a train which had halted at a crossing in the area and came in contact with the overhead high tension wires, a police officer said.

He got entangled in the wires and his body was brought down by fire officials and emergency teams after 45-minutes, the officer said. Anwar lived with his family in a nearby locality.
