New Delhi: Noted yoga guru Baba Ramdev's ability to bend, twist and contort his body has left many dropping their jaws in awe. It is beyond doubt that Baba Ramdev has succeeded in making yoga much more popular among the masses than it ever was.
His expertise in forming various yoga postures with his highly flexible body has fascinated people across the country – even the world, and helped him become the poster boy of yoga today.
Over the years, the country has seen many facets of Baba Ramdev, who made a brief foray into politics, though unsuccessful, appears regularly on TV shows and is giving a tough competition to some of India’s top FMCG companies through a wide range of affordable products offered by his company 'Patanjali Ayurveda'.
Baba Ramdev recently appeared on the cover page of a leading magazine in a version of the 'Prasarita Padottanasana' - wide-legged forward bend. The punch line of the cover read: “How Baba Ramdev discovered commerce and turned spirituality on its head to emerge as a political, economic and cultural superbrand.”
