Self-styled godwoman Mamtamai Radhe Guru Maa early Saturday broke down in tears before mediapersons when reporters questioned of her alleged involvement in a case of domestic violence and torture of one of her disciples Niki Gupta.

Aurangabad: Self-styled godwoman Mamtamai Radhe Guru Maa early Saturday broke down before mediapersons when reporters questioned her alleged involvement in a case of domestic violence and torture of one of her disciples Niki Gupta.

Giving a brief statement to the mediapersons, the self-styled godwoman said, “I don't want to say anything, God will do justice to me.”

Radhe Maa on Friday stayed at a hotel in the vicinity of the city, sources said here today.

Radhe Maa reached stayed at Hotel Meadows in Padegaon, eight kilometres away from the city.

She was interrogated by the city police for more than an hour but the police was tight-lipped about the details.

A woman has alleged that Radhe Maa instigated her husband and in-laws to demand dowry from her, even though she had given them jewellery worth over Rs.102 crore at the time of the marriage.

In her complaint lodged by the Kandivali police last week, the 32-year-old complainant has claimed that Radhe Maa allegedly asked her in-laws, including her chartered accountant husband, to make more dowry demands from her.

Activist-lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt also lodged a separate complaint at Borivali police station against Radhe Maa for running a business disguised as religion and misleading people.

Radhe Maa claims to be a self-confessed fan of actor and former adult movie star Sunny Leone. Her pictures in short dresses, gyrating to Bollywood tunes with her devotees during satsangs (religious discourses) have gone viral on the social media networks.
