"The carcass of the tiger was found at Karondia in Panpatha range. It seems that the feline died around six days back and prima facie it appears to be a natural death," Deputy Director of Bandhavgarh Reserve, P Bangar, said.
Umaria: A tiger was found dead in the Panpatha range in the famous Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, a forest official said on Friday.
"The carcass of the tiger was found at Karondia in Panpatha range. It seems that the feline died around six days back and prima facie it appears to be a natural death," Deputy Director of Bandhavgarh Reserve, P Bangar, said.
He ruled out any foul play saying, "Neither an electricity line runs close to the spot, which lies in the deep forest, nor any injury marks were found on the carcass."
The carcass was found in a decomposed state and the exact reason behind the death would be known only after the post-mortem, he said.
Further investigation into the matter is on, he added.
