Why did 'Bond' bite Raj Thackeray's wife Sharmila?

Mumbai: Apparently wanting to avoid further trouble after one of his pet dogs attacked his wife Sharmila, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has dispatched the dogs to his farmhouse in Karjat near Mumbai.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the three Great Danes – James, Bond, and Shawn - have been sent to the farmhouse. The decision was taken amid reports that Sharmila wants to return home Krushna Kunj in Dadar today.

Bond had attacked Sharmila on Tuesday. The injury was so serious that she had to undergo emergency surgery necessitating 65 stitches on her face.

She later underwent facial plastic surgery to conceal the bite marks. She is recuperating under the care of noted plastic surgeon Anil Tibrewala at the Hindjua Hospital.

The bite was so sharp that the dog's teeth ripped her face and almost touched the facial bones.

Why did Bond attack Sharmila?

As per the Mumbai Mirror report, Sharmila was attacked after she accidentally stepped on the dog.
