Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister
Omar Abdullah on Sunday said the killing of a shopkeeper in the
cross-fire between militants and security forces in Sopore
town was unfortunate.
"It was an unfortunate incident," he told PTI on the
sidelines of a function here.
Mehraj-ud-din Hajam, a 30-year-old shopkeeper, was
killed in the exchange of fire after ultras attacked the
Sopore Police Station yesterday.
Sopore is a militancy-infested area in Baramulla
district.
"We have had problems with Sopore for sometime now,"
the Chief Minister said.
