Thane: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)
chief Raj Thackeray has said elections cannot be won just by
putting up banners and posters.
Speaking at a function here Saturday night, he said his
five-year-old party does not believe in this kind of approach
towards polls.
"One has to perform and also have merit to get
elected."
It is only after the announcement of dates for the
upcoming municipal corporation elections, that the MNS will
enter the fray in full force, Raj maintained.
After 50 per cent reservation for women in local
bodies, their participation in democratic process at the
grassroots level will increase further, he added.
