CBSE employee sent to seven-day CBI custody

New Delhi, Apr 23: CBSE employee Hemant Sharmaarrested in connection with the AIPMT question paper leak wastoday remanded to seven days police custody by a city courthere.

arrested in connection with the AIPMT question paper leak was
today remanded to seven days police custody by a city court
here.

Metropolitan Magistrate Shahabuddin remanded Sharma to
CBI custody till April 30 for his interrogation after the
accused was produced before the court this afternoon.

Delhi Police had arrested Sharma in the office of the Controller of Examination.

Hemant Sharma, Computer Operator in the office of Examination Controller Pavnesh Kumar, was arrested following disclosures by the main accused nabbed recently, DCP (Crime) Dependra Pathak said.

Sharma had allegedly taken copies of the question papers from the computer and given these to the accused, Pathak said.

Police had also recovered Rs 3 lakh from him, Pathak added.
