Hyderabad, Nov 17: Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP today
came down heavily on the opposition congress for its moves
towards 'unholy alliance' with left parties and Majlis
Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), saying they were born out of 'lust
for power'.
It was ironic that Congress and left parties, which are
political adversaries in West Bengal and Kerala, were coming
together in AP with the 'sole intention of grabbing power',
the party vice-president Prof S V Seshagiri Rao and spokesman
K Lakshman alleged at a press conference here.
"People are wise enough to see through the designs of
Congress and will teach it a fitting lesson," the BJP
leaders said.
They charged the opposition party with resorting to
'political opportunism by trying to forge poll-eve alliances'.
