Christmas is synonymous with celebrations, merry-making and party time. It is a time for get together with family, friends, a time for cakes, chocolates and most of all an added bonanza for school-goers, office goers, a general holiday, time to unwind and shrug off the work baggage.Christmas tree, Christmas flowers, ancestral Christmas wreaths, dazzling lights herald the coming of Christmas. Christmas spells the colour of red and green. Every house is adorned with these colours. It’s the time of the year when we let our near and dear ones know how much they mean to us. Family and friends exchange gifts and cards on this occasion. Gifts under Christmas Tree uplifts and heightens the spirit of the festival. Christmas can never be described without mentioning the carols. People or friends form groups and go door to door singing joyous Christmas songs, greeting each other on this jubilant occasion. Carol singers are awaited at each house with Christmas cakes and hot cups of tea and coffee. The old tradition of Santa Claus distributing gifts to children is very much prevalent even today. But can Christmas be celebrated without a new wardrobe? It’s also the time for brand new clothes. It’s the time to run for best offers/ discounts depending on one’s budget.. Not to forget, we do love to party too. Party animals sway to their hearts content. Let the music play on, we are gonna be up and we`ll rock to the tune. We are gonna booze, dance, rejoice as Christmas comes only once in a year. Wherever the party might be, be it a house party, theme party or in a club, nothing can dampen the festive spirit. Gonna sip wine, beer, vodka or take a shot of tequilas, gonna indulge like there is no tomorrow, though the aftermaths of hangover might be annoying. With this celebration, comes the end of year, it is the time to look back and ponder how the year passed away hastily.
