Raipur, July 17: Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the three-day BJP national executive meeting here from Friday which will be attended by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and about 300 other top party leaders.
Over 2,000 securitymen have been deployed in and around the VIP guest house, where Vajpayee would be staying, Raj Bhawan, airport and hotels where the delegates would be
putting up.
Strategy for elections to five state assemblies besides next year`s Lok Sabha polls will be chalked out BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu said.
The meeting would also discuss the possibilities of bringing in a legislation for construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Venkaiah Naidu told reporters. It would also discuss reservation for women in Parliament and state legislatures, he said.
Meanwhile, general secretary Pramod Mahajan in Raipur told mediapersons that they would will be taking up Sonia Gandhi`s foreign origin and the failures of Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh government.
