London: Original Sugababes - one of the biggest girl bands of the late nineties – are back as MKS and played their first concert in more than a decade at a New Year’s Eve party.
The trio looked happy to be back together and smiled, while holding the artwork for their original debut album ‘One Touch,’ backstage at the gig.
The singers, who had announced that they were reforming in July last year, coordinated their outfits and dressed in black for the performance. Siobhan Donaghy donned a black vest top with leather trousers while Keisha Buchanan wore a dark top with patterned lace tights, the Daily Mail reported.
Mutya Buena looked casual in a black dress and blazer while wearing a pair of large silver hoop earrings. The newly reformed group covered Rihanna’s hit song ‘Diamonds’ and also sung their first Sugababes single ‘Overload’ and later release ‘Freak Like Me.’
Buchanan posted pictures of the girls together on Twitter and wrote, “Argggh love my sisters. (sic)” Buena tweeted, “We promised every1 something frm us by new yrs and we gave it hope u all enjoyed last nite who ever was there an enjoyin it on youtube xxxxx. (sic)”
Fellow band member Donaghy wrote, “Happy new year everyone!!!! Well this certainly goes down as the best yet.”
