The last day of star-studded fashion extravaganza was chic and happening. Eclectic collections with perfect blend of fabric and design were showcased at the festival. Sunaina Puri: Bollywood babe Jiah Khan looked demure and ethereal in an off-white fairy like creation by Sunaina Puri. Heavily embroidered, chic and tastefully cut, Sunaina Puri’s designs were applauded and appreciated. Elegant, sexy with understated dignity, the designs celebrated women of substance.
Narendra Kumar: Stunning Mugdha Godse walked the ramp for Narendra Kumar in unique flamboyant multi-coloured attire that did justice to Mugdha’s curves. Based on modern cuts and silhouettes, the ensembles integrated the luxurious aspects of specially woven Indian fabrics and hand-crafted detailing to maintain a couture feel to the line. Kallol Datta: Secretive, mysterious and sexy, Kallol Datta used dark shades to showcase his multicultural designs. His designs challenged conventions, altered perceptions and interpreted shapes. Swapnil Shinde: Swapnil Shinde’s designs revolved around trying to find the possibility of a balance between the two extreme terms, `sexy` without being cheap or crude, and `elegant` without being boring or matronly. Feminine, untouched and graceful, Shinde’s creations in delicate colours stole the show. Kaushie Adiseshan: Fusion is Kaushie’s forte. Dazzling Kanchipuram silks and gorgeous brocades combined with elegant satins to create sumptuous, elegant fashion inspired by the royal traditions of India and England. Soumitra Mondal: Soumitra’s saris and ensembles in red and black seemed inspired by Indian art, culture and textile. Fine cotton, linen; rich traditional silk and hand woven fabric were specially used for each collection. Both the background of textile and apparel design brought out the flavor of international design. He focused on wearibility along with simplicity. Mandira Wirk: Stylish, chic and contemporary, Mandira Wirk’s ensembles presented an exquisite sense of luxury & modernism, symbolic of subtlety, feminity and romanticism. The collection had variety that expressed a consistency in its sensuous cuts, elegant detailing and impeccable quality. Anamika Khanna: Anamika Khanna’s grand finale was the high point of the day. The Kolkata designer weaved together an Indian heritage accompanied by a modern eclectic touch. With color, craft and texture as her forte, Anamika Khanna’s ensembles wowed the audience.
