Kolkata, May 24: The West Bengal BJP today described
Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee's decision not to
join the Union Cabinet as an "internal matter" of the party
and said she should 'settle' the matter with Prime Minister
Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

"We don't intend to comment on a matter concerning Mamata
Banerjee and the Prime Minister over inducting one person in
the Union Cabinet," BJP State Chief Tathagata Roy told a news agency.

BJP, he said, would like Banerjee to settle the matter
with the Prime Minister.

Commenting on the Trinamool Congress' stand on the issue
of not joining the union cabinet over 'difference' over
induction of a senior party leader (Sudip Bandopadhyay), Roy
said "our party has always been in favour of Trinamool
Congress' participation in the BJP-led National Democratic
Alliance government at the Centre."

However, he also said BJP would like to see ties with
Trinamool Congress remaining 'intact'.
