LK Advani praises BJP`s rise, says high ambition isn`t a crime

New Delhi: BJP`s veteran leader LK Advani, while addressing at the party`s national council meet on Sunday said that he feels happy to see where the party has reached. Advani also said that high ambition isn`t a crime, but low ambition. He further added that he doesn`t remember such a party gathering ever ending like this in any of the previous elections. He also assured that the BJP wants to conquer over 272 seats in Lok Sabha and the party is not only looking for prime minister seat. Before Advani, BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had addressed the meet. Modi had said that the present PM has formed committee for every possible problem, but the need of an hour is commitment for the nation and not to form committees. He further added that no party in the UPA coalition chose Manmohan Singh as PM in 2004, Modi said. Top BJP leaders from across the country have assembled here to prepare strategy for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Besides LK Advani and Narendra Modi, other senior party leaders Rajnath Singh, Narendra Modi, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Murli Manohar Joshi, besides chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states also attended the meeting.
