Jammu, Feb 03: Pakistani troops resorted to heavy firing along international border to disrupt the ongoing border fencing work in R S Pura and Arnia sectors of Jammu division, border security force sources said here today.

Pakistani rangers, using light and medium machine guns,
targeted areas near border outposts of Nikowal, H S.Way,
Khurd, Karotna in R S Pura sector and its adjoining Arnia
sector since last evening, they said, adding there was no loss of life or damage on Indian side.

Troops from across the IB have been resorting to firing,
usually from dusk to dawn, to disrupt the fencing work being
undertaken to check infiltration.

The BSF, which has undertaken fencing work along 187.5 km long IB from Paharpur to Akhnoor in Jammu division, will be completing 87 km of fencing by June end this year, the sources said.
