Jammu: The main opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Monday urged India not to allow "barbaric acts" like the Pune bombing that killed nine people to become a hurdle in the dialogue process with Pakistan.

The PDP chief described the perpetrators of Saturday`s blast in the German Bakery in Pune as "enemies of peace" and said that these incidents should not serve as a stumbling block in the peace process.

Mehbooba Mufti whose party is an advocate of a consistent India-Pakistan dialogue Monday told her party workers in Surankote in Poonch district, 230 km north of Jammu, that the perpetrators of violence seem to want to create fear among people and derail the peace process.

"Such cowardly acts will not weaken resolve of the pro-peace forces to restore lasting peace in this region and the on going peace process will be taken forward at any cost," she added.

"We won`t be deterred by the attempt of the enemies of peace," she said.
