Agartala, Sept 14: President A P J Abdul Kalam is scheduled to visit Tripura on October 4 next, state information minister Jitendra Chowdhury said today.
Chowdhury said during the visit Kalam would interact with school and college students and inaugurate a tele-medicine project at G B Hospital here.
The President would also lay the foundation stone of Rs 11 crore processing unit for making powder from pineapples at Bodhjung Nagar in west Tripura district, he said.
Mumbai-based trans-India agro fruits products would setup the unit.
