Ram Temple cause nearer and dearer issue for BJP: Naidu

New Delhi, July 31: The BJP today said that construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya was a "nearer and dearer issue" for it.
"It (construction of Ram Temple) is one of our objectives. It is a nearer and dearer cause," BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu said when asked why ram temple was not on the agenda of the NDA.

The BJP president described the death of Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas chief Ramchandradas Paramhans as a "great loss to the nation."

"BJP is shocked over the demise of Mahant Ramchandra Paramhams. He was a great scholar, spiritual leader and was in the forefront of the ram temple movement. He was a source of inspiration for millions of people who are engaged in that movement," he said.
