Thai PM hosts dinner for Vajpayee

Chiang Mai (Thailand), Oct 11: Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatara today hosted a dinner in honour of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his hometown here, bordering Myanmar, and held wide ranging talks on bilateral and international issues.

The private dinner was attended by some senior members of the Indian delegation including External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha and National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra.

India and Thailand on Thursday signed a framework agreement to usher in free trade during next 10 years.

Four other accords for enhancing cooperation in agriculture, tourism and science were also inked in Bangkok by the two countries.

Vajpayee is scheduled to return home tomorrow after his four-day visit to the South East Asian nation.
