Online parenting group slams door on trolls

According to a news website, Babyology`s decision to take off `negative and abusive comments` has garnered nearly 2500 likes and close to 100 comments.

Sydney: One of the largest parenting communities on Facebook, Babyology has reportedly taken a stand against cyber bullying by mothers towards other mothers and have called for the mama trolls to be taken off the site.
According to a news website, Babyology`s decision to take off `negative and abusive comments` has garnered nearly 2500 likes and close to 100 comments. Member Hilda McBrien said that there was no place for negative or abusive comments and congratulated Babyology for taking a stance against the issue. Babyology said that such negativity does not have a place in their online space and its managing editor Mandi Gunsberger said that they have made the decision to remove at their discretion any negative or abusive comments made on our Facebook page. Gunsberger further said that it is hard enough being a mum without strangers literally berating for how or how not to keep the baby warm or the decision not to breast feed past four months. She added that the site used to hide offensive posts in a way that did not tell the poster their comments only went to a few people but the site decided recently that it wasn`t enough and a strong stand was essential, the report added.
