NIA files chargesheet against UNLF chief

Guwahati: The National Investigating
Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed chargesheets against arrested United
National Liberation Front (UNLF) chief and 18 others in a
special court.

The NIA filed chargesheets against RK Meghen alias
Saniyama and 18 others belonging to the insurgent outfit based
in Manipur.

While Meghen was arrested in 2009 in Bihar the others
were arrested since them in various raids conducted in the
city.

NIA sources said the chargesheets were filed against
the ultra for their involvement in heinous crimes including
waging war against the country and extortion.
