London, Jan 26: Keeping a low profile since the massacre of the Nepalese royal family two years ago, Devyani Rana, the enigmatic beauty who unwittingly set the tragedy in motion, has just completed a one-year course at the famous London School of Economics here.

"She was a quiet girl who never spoke about her past," says a fellow student at the LSE, where the 24-year old Devyani took a course in development studies.

Crown Prince Dipendra, 30, was so enchanted by Devyani that when his family made it clear to him they did not approve of her as his bride, he murdered eight of them, including the
king and the queen, before turning the gun on himself.

Devyani, daughter of a former Nepalese foreign minister, was under the care of queen's former lord chamberlain, 62-year Old Lord Camoys, an influential mentor.

"He was a father figure to Dipendra when he was over here
and has taken on the same role with Devyani," The Sunday Telegraph today quoted a friend.

Dipendra reportedly met Devyani at a party at Camoys's home in Stonor Park.
