DMDK chief Vijayakant holds special prayers; takes ethical voting pledge

Chennai: DMDK founder Vijayakant held special prayers at temples in Villupuram district, besides taking an ethical voting pledge to not give or take money for votes.

Accompanied by wife Premalatha and son-in-law L K Sudheesh, the Chief Ministerial candidate of DMDK-PWF-TMC combine visited two temples in Villupuram district yesterday and held prayers.

At Parikkal Lakshmi Narasimhar temple, the leader took the ethical voting pledge, taken by over 1.64 crore voters, on the "No note for my vote" slogan.

The actor-turned-politician also pledged that he will not give money to voters. Vijayakant is contesting from Ulunthurpet constituency in Villupuram district for the May 16 Assembly polls.
