Lucknow: A BJP delegation on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi, alleging that law and order has deteriorated completely in the state.
The delegation led by the state BJP chief Laxmi Kant Bajpai alleged that after Badaun incident, 57 cases of crime with women had taken place in the state, and requested him to use his constitutional powers. Bajpai also alleged that under patronisation of SP leaders, BJP workers were being attacked. He said that as the constitutional head of the state, he should consider whether SP government deserved to remain in power. "If not, then kindly use your constitutional powers," he said.
