Boy stabbed by father over denial to give money for liquor in UP

Saharanpur: A 17-year-old boy was stabbed allegedly by his father for refusing to give him money for liquor at Bagowali area under Devband police station here on Tuesday.

Ahmed, a knacker by profession, was stabbed several times with a pair of scissors by his father, Badar, an alcohol addict, for refusing to give him Rs 200 for liquor, police said.

The victim was rushed to the district hospital where his condition is stated to be critical, they said, adding, the accused is absconding and efforts were on to nab him.
