FIR registered against IPS officer who alleged threat by Mulayam Singh Yadav

Lucknow: An FIR has been registered against IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, who had earlier filed a complaint against Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav for threatening him.

The complaint, which has been filed in Lucknow`s Gomti Nagar police station, names Thakur as a rape accused.The senior IPS officer had yesterday alleged that Mulayam had threatened him over the phone, asking him to `mend his ways`.
