Meerut: Mother forced to spend night with son's dead body outside hospital - Know the shocking details

Meerut: In yet another incident of administration apathy, a mother was forced to spend a night with the body of her child, outside a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district.

The child had died of fever. The incident happened on September 2.

According to the mother, she was forced to spend the night outside the hospital, as she was denied an ambulance to take her child's body back home.

She claimed that Rs 1500 was demanded from her when she called 108 for ambulance.

The incident comes just days after, a man alleged that his 12-year-old son died on his shoulder due to negligence of the doctors at JSVM Medical College in Kanpur.

In a similar incident, a poor man from Odisha was forced to walk down the road, carrying the dead body of his wife wrapped in a blanket for at least 10 kms.
