Saifai: Aditya Pratap Singh Yadav, the son of Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav, on Thursday morning tied the knot with Raj Laxmi here.
A number of VVIPs attended the wedding.
Aditya, the director on board of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO), had got engaged to Raj Laxmi, the daughter of Azamgarh-based contractor Sanjay Singh, in February.
Some reports suggested that the match was fixed by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's old friend Amar Singh. Notably, Shivpal Singh Yadav is the brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
The wedding reception will take place in Lucknow on March 13.
As per The Times of India, special chefs from Firozabad and Agra were called to cook mouth-watering dishes at the wedding.
Special on the menu was sarrata (special sour raita), bedai, dahi ke aloo, baati chokha, ulda poorie, paneer-filled chhole bhature.
Among the sweet delicacies were imarti, jalebi served with chilled rabri, sohan halwa, kulfi and moong ki daal ka halwa soaked in pure desi ghee.
