Advani`s yatra all set to enter U’khand tomorrow

During his three-day programme in the poll-bound hill state, Advani will address four public meetings, including one at the Parade Ground in Dehradun.

Yatra is all set to enter Uttarakhand on Thursday as authorities
beefed up security for his public meetings.

During his three-day programme in the poll-bound hill
state, Advani will address four public meetings, including one
at the Parade Ground here, they said.

A rousing welcome awaits him when he enters the state
from Ponta Sahib area, the sources said adding senior state
party leaders, including Chief Minister BC Khanduri, will
welcome him.

Tight security arrangements have been made for the
yatra.

BJP leaders say Advani has a special attachment for
Uttarakhand as he was the chief architect of the creation of
the hill state in 2000 when the NDA government was in power at
the Centre.

"Advani has repeatedly said in his various speeches that
he has special love for Uttarakhand," BJP spokesperson Satish
Lakhera said.

Advani will not travel to remote and hilly areas of
Uttarakhand which will go to polls early next year.
