Kolkata: Gangasagar pilgrim from
Haridwar was run over by a vehicle near Babughat on Ganga on Monday morning.
The police said that Satyam Giri aged 35 years
succumbed to injuries after he was rushed to a hospital.
Gangasagar pilgrims coming from different places
generally put up around Babughat before heading for Gangasagar
for the holy dip which takes place in the middle of January.
