WBPCC president's estranged wife to join TMC

Murshidabad (WB): Arpita Chowdhury, the estranged wife of West Bengal PCC president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, has expressed interest in joining Trinamool Congress.

"I like Mamata Banerjee's ideals and I have expressed my wish to join TMC to its leaders Indranil Sen and Mannan Hossein," she told PTI on Tuesday.

Hossein, the Murshidabad district president of TMC, when contacted confirmed that Chowdhuury had expressed her wish to join the party to him.

"She (Arpita Chowdhury) is likely to join the party on March 24," he said.

District Congress spokesman Ashok Das said he had heard it too. " I am feeling bad," he added.
